Administrative Assistant

The Waiver Department is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to work sixteen hours per week at $9.50 per hour.  Job requirements include, but are not limited to, proficient knowledge of computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.  Must have excellent communication skills, organizational skills, as well as a mature and positive attitude.  Eight of the required hours must be 8:00am-5:00pm each Thursday.  To apply, please contact Amanda Ragan at 501-227-3632 in order to obtain the proper application.

 

Aftercare Aide
Part-time positions are available in the Aftercare Program Monday-Friday 2:30 pm - 5:30 pm.  These positions are responsible for supervising recreational activities and providing daily care for preschool age children.  Requirements include experience working with children, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, a high school diploma or the equivalent and valid AR driver's license or state issued ID.  Must be 18 years of age.


Habilitation/Vocational Instructor/Van Driver
One full time opening is available in the Adult Services department.  Hours of work will be Monday through Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm (hours may vary).  The perfect candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years experience training Adults with Disabilities in both independent living skills and vocational skills.  Must be willing to work in various environments and conditions, including working with adults with disabilities who may exhibit inappropriate or challenging behaviors, while remaining supportive and professional.  Should possess the ability to be creative so that the training provided is individualized.  The person should have the ability to work with minimal supervision, assist consumers in transferring from wheelchairs and assisting with personal care needs.  Must have the ability to document and communicate information pertaining to the consumer’s needs and progress.  Must have a clean driving record and be coverable under Easters Seal’s vehicle insurance and have the ability to secure a CDL if requested at any time during employment. 

Independent Living Instructor
Positions are available at the Children’s Rehabilitation Center shifts and days off will vary.  Job duties include providing personal care and habilitation training to children with disabilities in a residential setting, assisting clients in recreation or educational activities, observing and recording daily data to monitor client progress, and the ability to lift 50 pounds.  Requirements include a high school diploma or the equivalent, and a valid AR driver’s license.  CNA certification strongly preferred.

Life Skills Trainer
One full time position (with benefits) is available at Butler Adult Living Center.  This home-like environment to 10 adults provides training and supervision to individuals over the age of 21.  Job responsibilities vary with each shift but may include helping individuals with self care skills (showering, brushing teeth, etc), activity of daily living skills (laundry, room cleaning, etc.), planning and assisting with recreation activities, cooking, cleaning, and meeting the personal needs of residents in the facility.  Job Requirements include a high school diploma or the equivalent, OR experience serving this population, a valid AR driver’s license and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.  Certified Nursing Assistant and/or Commercial Driver’s License preferred but not required.
M-F 7am-3pm

Personal Care Assistant/Instructor
Full time position available at the Adult Services department, M-F 8:00am-4:00pm (hours may vary).  This position is responsible for assisting and training adults with Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s), and conducting group and individual activities and maintaining a safe, stimulating and comfortable setting, and driving them to various sites.  Must have a clean driving record and be coverable under Easters Seal’s vehicle insurance and have the ability to secure a CDL if requested at any time during employment.  Three years (or more) experience preferred, C.N.A required.  Excellent communication skills also required.
Physical Therapist (Contract)
Arkansas Physical Therapy license and good written/communication skills required.  Monday Friday; 8-5 with flexible scheduling.

Recreation Aide
One full time position and one part time position available at the Children’s Rehabilitation Center; shifts and days off will vary, including some weekends.  Job duties include the coordination and implementation of recreational and leisure time activities and programs for residents.  Salary will vary, depending on experience, education, etc.  Requirements include a high school diploma or the equivalent, and a valid AR driver’s license and proof of insurability.  Must be 21 years old for insurance purposes.

Teaching Assistant
Full time position available at the Children’s Rehabilitation Center Monday-Friday 6:30am-3:00pm.  Job duties include the ability to assist in the care of preschool aged children, lift up to 50 pounds frequently, ability to provide instruction under the direction of the classroom teacher, and the ability to assist in daily data collection.  Requirements include a high school diploma or the equivalent and a valid AR driver’s license or state issued ID.  Must be 18.  Preference given to Child Development Associates (CDA).

Supportive Living Companion

Maumelle Fridays: 12:30pm-7:00pm; 10 hour Saturdays; 5 hour Sundays
